Aimee has over a decade of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, working to help individuals and families make substantial improvements in their mental well-being. She specializes in the areas of adolescent mental health, anxiety, trauma and eating issues. She loves working with adolescents, couples and whole families. Aimee enjoys presenting and has extensive experience, including teaching within university psychology and mental health programs in both New Zealand and Australia.
Aimee works both in private practice in Christchurch and within the Specialist Mental Health Service.

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist practicing in Christchurch and registered with the NZ Psychologists Board. I am a full member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists (NZCCP). Whilst I have a broad range of experience, my areas of specialty are the assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, eating issues and relationship issues. I see children, teenagers, adults, couples and families.
I am trained in multiple therapy modalities and use evidence-based treatments to deliver the best outcome for my clients. Most often this includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Meta-cognitive Therapy (MCT) or Systemic Family Therapy. I also have foundation training in Gottman Couples Therapy and I am an approved member of the Gottman Relationship Checkup system.
I am also available for clinical supervision for practitioners working within my area of expertise. I tend to prefer a more process orientated / reflective style of supervision.
