Expertise

Being steeped initially in both Carl Roger’s Person-Centered counselling and Family Systems Theory gives Marian a strong dual footing - relating warmly, genuinely, and meaningfully to individuals, at the same time as maintaining the overview of the forces of an individual’s family and work system. She believes her effectiveness as supervisor and counsellor is an outcome of being realistic, honest and respectful in helping people identify what isn’t working for them, at the same time as being expert at helping them notice and make much more of what works well.
