Ruth has experience in supporting Supervisees from various workplaces/career backgrounds including health, business, administration and social services. She is passionate about providing a safe and neutral space for the co-creation of an effective, positive supervision relationship. Ruth sees her role as facilitating the process by which an employee can review and evaluate their work through discussion, report and observation. The overall aims, which are explored together, relate to identifying work challenges and possible solutions to these, improving reflective practice, increasing understanding of professional and clinical issues and celebrating work-related growth and achievements.
Another aspect of her work experience has been providing support and counselling services to the employees of large corporates as a contract Counsellor for two Employee Assistance Programmes over the last 4 years. She has also provided on-site support when requested to help organisations manage traumatic incidents. Topics that Ruth covers with her clients range from grief and loss, relationship problems both personal and professional, anxiety, depression, work-life balance and parenting issues.
